About Us
Beginning Opportunities for Prisoners (B.O.P) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping formerly incarcerated individuals successfully transition back into society. Founded by Shannon Dublin, a former inmate who experienced firsthand the struggles of re-entry, B.O.P was created to be a lifeline for those seeking a fresh start. We understand the unique challenges faced by returning citizens, from finding stable employment to securing housing and overcoming societal stigma. That’s why our programs focus on providing comprehensive support, including job training, housing assistance, mentorship, and community-building initiatives. At B.O.P, we believe everyone deserves a second chance and that with the right guidance and resources, individuals can break the cycle of incarceration, rebuild their lives, and contribute positively to their communities. Our team of passionate volunteers and partners work tirelessly to ensure every person we help is equipped for long-term success. Together, we are transforming lives, empowering individuals, and fostering a society that values restoration and redemption.
